USER RATINGS & SCORE POLICY

Know what the number actually measures.

Editorial scores and retailer star ratings answer different questions. This page keeps them separate so a large review count cannot substitute for product fit—or for a transparent scoring method.

Our score is not a customer-star average.

EDITORIAL SCORE

Structured assessment

Formula strategy, barrier support, texture, suitability, practicality and value are assessed against a defined product brief.

USER RATING

Experience signal

A verified reader rating can describe comfort, finish and routine fit, but individual skin type and expectations still shape it.

RETAILER STARS

External marketplace data

Useful for spotting patterns, but seller mixing, variants, incentives and unrelated complaints require careful reading.

No fabricated community average.

The site does not currently claim a proprietary user-rating sample. Until a verified collection and moderation system is live, product pages show the editorial score only.

Read the verdict before treating decimals as precision.

Look for repeatable details, not only enthusiasm.

  1. 01

    Match the exact variant

Check size, fragrance version, packaging and seller before applying feedback to the product under review.

  2. 02

    Prioritise specific observations

Texture, pilling, pump failures and scent descriptions are more interpretable than “amazing” or “terrible.”

  3. 03

    Separate tolerance from universal quality

A reaction matters to that person, but it does not prove everyone will react—or reveal the exact cause.
