Vaseline Healing Jelly Original is 100% white petrolatum. Its role is occlusion: it slows water loss rather than adding water to the skin. This is why it works best over damp skin or a humectant-containing cream.
Intensive Care lotions use more conventional emulsions and may include glycerin, lipids, fragrance or botanical positioning. They should be judged as separate formulas, not diluted versions of the jelly.

No. Vaseline Original is 100% white petrolatum. Aquaphor Healing Ointment uses 41% petrolatum plus several supporting ingredients, including lanolin alcohol.
Can Vaseline be used on the face?+
